Different communication culture, different expectations: How managers can better understand Generation Z employees.

Surveys have shown that many companies suffer from a poor communication culture. “Ninety-six percent of executives think poor communication has a negative impact on the productivity, morale, and growth of their team or company — but how to master cross-generational communication is difficult for many teams,” says Niederberger.

Some companies only give their employees feedback in annual meetings - or only when a major mistake has happened, Niederberger describes. “Gen Z employees expect immediate feedback — it's common in today's environment and online.” Annual feedback is unlikely to meet their expectations.
