Step 1

Understanding Moodtalk

What is Moodtalk and how can it help your team grow?

This video gives you a brief introduction to Moodtalk and explains the role of the facilitator. You'll learn how the Moodtalk Assistant supports the four-step process – gathering feedback, structuring discussions, and implementing concrete actions.

I’ll also explain how long the check-ins take, how often the talks should take place, and why it’s important that all team members complete their check-ins on time.

Take a moment and watch the video to successfully integrate Moodtalk into your team.

Step 2

Onboarding

Before you start with Moodtalk, it’s important to set up your team correctly. Only then can Moodtalk later assign results clearly and help you make the development of your team visible.

In the onboarding process, you can:

  • Adjust the team name (e.g., department, project, or area)
  • Add team members to ensure that only the right people participate
  • Add further information, such as team leader, location, or team description

This step lays the foundation for ensuring that your conversations, assessments, and evaluations are in the right context. In some organizations, onboarding is done centrally – it’s best to quickly check if your team has already been set up. Watch this video to see how the onboarding process works.

Step 4

Preparing the Talk

After your team is set up and has filled out the first check, it’s time to prepare for the first shared conversation, the "Talk."

Your task is to design the Talk to fit your team. Moodtalk takes a lot of work off your hands: the Teamwork Assistant automatically suggests suitable topics and questions based on the check, team phase, and common challenges.

You can easily adapt, add, or rearrange this suggestion depending on what is important for your team at the moment. This ensures that the Talk is not only efficient but also relevant and meaningful.

A brief guide on how to prepare your Talk can be found in this video.

Step 5

Planning Checks

Your final task is to plan the next steps for your team. The Teamwork Assistant also supports you here with suggestions that you can adapt to your team’s needs.

The first check is usually more general and a bit more detailed to get to know your team better and understand the current situation. From now on, you can focus more specifically on the topics that are really relevant to your team.

For this, Moodtalk creates so-called Focus Checks – short surveys on specific topics that are of concern to many in the team. This way, you stay in tune with your collaboration and can continuously work on what matters.

tep 3

View results

After the initial check is completed, you can view the results within your team. These results provide valuable insights into your team's current mood, challenges, and strengths.

Transparency for all: All team members have access to the results and can view the team's current status. This creates a shared understanding and forms a clear data basis for your further development.

Understanding the team's condition: The results help you understand your team's current status and specifically address areas for improvement.
